Prayer for June 26, 2023

Help us, O God, to not be tempted by the evil of apathy. Let us open our mouths when wrong is happening in front of us. Too often we wait to see whether things will correct themselves in hopes that we wont need to face conflict. May we have the strength of character to make our opinions known. We sometimes think, loving God, that because we like some of what someone (or group) does, we can let them do something we know to be wrong in order to get that small gain. Help us to know that often evil grows unabated when we are unwilling to stand up for what is right. May we be willing to become uncomfortable or unpopular to stand up for what is right. May your Spirit guide us this and every day. Amen
