Prayer for June 29, 2023

May we respond to the reality of our affect on the world around us, O God of all Creation. Help us to find ways to be less destructive and wasteful of the resources you have given us. We are watching our world change in various ways as average temperatures increase and extreme weather events are happening more and more. Allow us to look at changes we can make now that will affect improvement and regeneration of our environment. Encourage us to use the many gifts we have been given and the advances we have made to care for the world around us. We ask that you be with the millions of people who have been affected by the drastic affects of draught, flooding, storms and other increasingly occurring weather events that are so much more extreme and dangerous. May we honor you by how we care for all you have given us, O God. Amen
