Prayer for August 20, 2023

Let our hearts be so filled with love, O God, that our words and actions mirror that love. Help us to be pure in our thoughts and deeds. Let us look to the example of the Joseph who could have responded to his brothers with the disdain that his brothers him, deciding instead to be forgiving. May we look to the injustices and biases that are common in the world and be loving and caring to all whom we encounter. Let our faith shine forth this and every day. All this we ask in your Most Holy Name. Amen
