Prayer for August 27, 2023

Give us the strength to not conform to the the messages of hate, injustice and oppression that permeates so much of our world right now. May we strive instead for what is good, what is true and what builds up the souls of those around us. May we be so transformed by your Spirit that we easily discern when evil creeps into our thoughts and decide instead to follow you who we know to be true. Help us to use our individual gifts together with others to become the church and people you intend for us to become. May we grow in faith this and everyday, knowing that everything we experience is equipping us to be of service to others. All this we ask in your Holy Name. Amen
