Prayer for September 17, 2023

You call us to be as forgiving of others as we hope you are of us, O God. May we recognize our own inability to see when our actions affect others and learn to be giving rather than selfish, compassionate over uncaring and serving more than taking. Help us to see others as beloved children of God and treat them in a way that lets them know we honor them. When we falter, give us the strength of character to admit our shortcomings and take responsibility for our actions. May we forgive more often than we judge and seek to express support for all we encounter. Amen.
