Prayer for November 5, 2023

You remind us often, O God, that the work of those who have been blessed are called to use those blessings in service of others. It is tempting to want others to bear not only their load but loads that we too can carry. Help us to not be so proud that we miss the opportunity to journey with others and learn from them. May we not be blinded by our desire for one more thing, or rest on our laurels when there are those around us who are truly in need. Let us treat all we meet with love and compassion not worrying about who is watching and instead lead lives in service to the world around us and to you, O God of Hope. All this we ask in the name of a God who creates, redeems and sanctifies. Amen
