There are two prayers today.
May we know what is to be seen as a beloved child of God and see others in that same way. Help us to see that when we treat others in that way, we please God. Let us ask forgiveness and be forgiving in our relationships. Give us the strength to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves and live into our own baptismal covenant. May the Holy Spirit fill us, guide us toward the paths to which we are called. When it is our time to act help us to see clearly our direction. Amen.
Thank you, Loving God for the gift that has been my mother Heather Buchanan Wiseman. Today she is celebrating her birthday, and I am doing my best not to say what anniversary it is, so I will only say it is a significant number. She has been a pillar for so many people’s lives. She has been a gift to those who have known her. Without her, I would not be who I am today, and I am truly blessed. She has lived her life with grace, kindness, passion and empathy. May we celebrate this day with joy, and honor all she has been to so many. Amen
