Prayer for January 12, 2024

As this work week ends for many who are beginning a holiday weekend, may we take the gift of the weekend to be more present to the world around us. Let us truly live into a sabbath rest and reflection that an extra day provides. Be with those who will be working while many are playing. Help them to find some time to find respite. May we honor the incredible man, Martin Luther King Jr that we celebrate this weekend by trying to live in a way that expresses his dream and stands over and against those who would attempt to go backward in our desire to love an honor all people. May your Spirit guide us today and always, O God of All. Amen
