Prayer for February 4, 2024

You give us an example, Loving Jesus, of the benefit of taking private time. While we are a people who desperately need community, we also need time for personal reflection. When we step away from the myriad challenges and expectations we and others have made for ourselves we gain so much. Help us to use those times to recharge our batteries, and to check our headings. May we be willing to change directions when we recognize that we need to move on from where we have been comfortable. Give us the self-awareness to know when we need to take that time and the discipline to take it. Help us to find our way as we are distracted by so many outside forces and to listen to your Spirit guide us. Amen
