Prayer for July 26, 2025

Thank you, God, for the gift of water.  Looking out across the many bodies of water there is something special that represents so much of what we experience in life.  From the early morning calm overlooking a lake or canal which seems to just be waiting for us to begin our day to the rushing of rapids that are so like the tempest of a busy day, water surrounds us.  May we be filled with your spirit like we are when we drink a tall glass of water in the heat of the day.  Let us revel in the way water cleans and purifies us. May we protect its purity so that future generations will get to experience the gift of your creation.  All this we ask in your Name of God who created, redeems and sanctifies. Amen
