Prayer for August 24, 2025

Healing Jesus, you remind us today that compassion and empathy take priority over our insisting to follow expectations or rules.  Help us to remember that when we focus on meeting other people’s needs we are following your call to love one another as you love us.  May we be given the words we need to comfort people who are in need and may our actions follow your example of meeting people where they are and being present to them.  Let caring for and feeding others be our worship as much the worship we do on the sabbath.  Amen
