Prayer for August 31, 2025

You call us in today’s scripture to a different path, O God.  You remind us that we are to honor others over ourselves. To treat the stranger in our midst as if we may be entertains Angels. You remind us to have empathy for those among us who are in prison, or in pain and to imagine that we are encountering those things with them.  Help us to live into that kind of compassion and love for others so that we might change our world from what it is right now.  Amen
