Prayer for September 20, 2025

Let me listen this day, Loving God, so that I may hear what I am meant to hear. Help me to wait to speak until I have something to say that will contribute whatever we are talking about.  May I speak words that are affirming and not divisive. Allow your Spirit to guide me throughout today and every day.  Let me be ready to say nothing even if I have the desire to speak when my words won’t add more to the conversation.  There are days when we are meant to listen more than speak, and if this is that day help me accomplish that task, O God.  Amen
