You remind us, O God, that how we treat the poor and needy when we are wealthy is a sign of our character. When we take the time to give the best of what we have to others, physically or metephorically, we are being faithful to God and serving him as we are called. We know that our world often celebrates those who create great wealth no matter the means by which they make it. We also know that we cannot take our material posessions with us, so what we give from our hearts is far more durable. Guide us, Loving Jesus, during those times when we have the choice between honest and dishonest actions to make the right decision. And may your Holy Spirit guide us now and always. Amen
