Prayer for December 26, 2025

It always seemed so strange that we celebrate the death of the church’s first martyr on the day following Christmas, O God.   It is as if we need the reminder that following Christ has ramifications.  For us whose risks for our faith are fairly minimal, help us to go ahead and take those risks.  May we share our faith with others, recognizing that our personal relationship with God is ours and we can only live our faith our way.  It is not our job to make others share our faith exactly, but to help them find their place with God.  Help us to let our actions lead other to the divine and for them to find their own pathways.  May your Spirit guide us now and always. Amen
