Prayer for January 3, 2026

May we take sabbaths this year, O God.  Help us to take the time to be away from it all and simply be present to the day and the world around us.  Let us be willing to set aside all of the expectations we hav set for ourselves and rest.  Give us the strength to say that nothing is more important than recharging our souls and the discipline to set aside that time.  Allow us to rest our minds and bodies at least one day a week as you intend and guide us this year to make care for ourselves a priority.  All this we ask in your name O God of All Creation. Amen
