Prayer for January 8, 2026

Help us to be empathetic, O God.   It is too easy for us to be suspicious of others that hinders our ability to develop trust.  Help us to see that not all mistakes we or others make are intentional.  Let us be willing to forgive and restart. May we be willing to look in the mirror and accept our part in any conflict and be willing to own it.  Let us find ways to move beyond conflicts whose hurt lingers far longer than the event and colors our future interactions until that hurt goes away.  Help us, Forgiving God, to release these challenges to you.  Amen
