Prayer for April 7, 2026

Today, O God, I pray for our Country, our Armed Forces, the all the people affected by the many wars that are going on throughout the world. I pray especially for the innocents who are in harms way, that they may be kept safe. I pray that we might find a way toward the peace to which God calls us. May the vitriol of the leaders of the many wars change from the violent rhetoric that is being expressed to one that encourages the movement from swords to plowshares, from violence to comfort. Let us see others as beloved brother and sisters and not enemies. Let our desire for a better world shine forth as a beacon for those who are faced with hard decisions so that they may step back from the brink of destruction and chose a path of peace and prosperity. May your Spirit guide us now and always. Amen
