Prayer for April 8, 2026

We awake to a reprieve in some of the conflict that is permeating our world, O God. May the leaders who have brought us to this tenuous place seek to find a lasting peace and a despite for a better more compassionate world.  Help them to move away from the path that leads to violence, hatred and war.  May their power be expressed by actions of courageous welcome, and love for one another.  Let those who attempt to foment hate be transformed by your Spirit, O God, and walk away from their sinful desires.  Let us be examples of loving, caring people in hopes that others will join us.  Amen
