Prayer for March 6, 2021

Guiding God, often our weekends are booked with things that do not allow us to rest as we would have liked.  We are so overwhelmed with the commitments to things we want to support and are unwilling to say “no” because we care.  Help us to know when we have taken on too much and find ways to gracefully step back, or simply let those to whom we have made the commitment know that we are stretched.  May we learn to ask for help, and when it is right to say “no” or even resign to give those things for which we care the opportunity to have someone step up who has the time and energy we do not.  Allow us to listen to you as we determine the path you have set before us.  May you guide us today and every day. Amen.
