Prayer for March 8, 2021

O God who journeys with us, help us as we continue through this Lenten season.  May we remember the call of a Holy Lent.  Help us as we not only examine who we are, but as we work to make changes in our lives.  May we be honest and contrite in our repentance.  Let our prayer life grow in new ways and help us become closer to you.  If we are fasting or giving something up this Lent, help us to use it as a way to see the world around us in a new way.  May we take the time to read scripture and let it give us new insight into how you desire for us to be in relationship with you, as you have with everyone throughout history.  May we, at the end of Lent, find ourselves transformed by the season just finished.  All this we ask in your name.  Amen
