Prayer for June 2, 2021

O God who calls us to greater things, help us to learn about our history.  We know that history is often written by the winners.  May we learn the rest of the stories that surround what we think we know as fact.  We have learned so much about how we have struggled and succeeded throughout history.  May we continue to dig deeper and learn from our successes and failures.  You said we would do greater works than even you did, empower and encourage us to live into that expectation.  All this we ask in the name of a God who sees our potential.  Amen.
