Prayer for November 7, 2021

Charitable God, there are so many times where we find ourselves the people in the parables we hear. To be honest, most of the time we find ourselves as the wealthy, comfortable, and blessed people. While there may have been times in our lives where we are the poor widow, you call us to remember those moments when we find ourselves blessed. When we are in a place of comfort and blessedness, can you help us to step up and help others as we hoped others would when we were down. Give us a spirit of service that reminds us of our call to love our neighbor as ourselves and may we truly live into that call. Amen.
