O God who comforts us, help us to find the right words when we are trying to be your presence to those who are mourning, anxious or struggling. Help us to show our love for them and not make things worse. If we are with someone today who is silently carrying a burden, help them to know that we are there for them and give them the voice to ask for help and us the ears to hear them. If we are the one who is anxious and lonely, give us the strength to let those who love us know that we are in need of their love. You designed us, O God, to need each other, help us to live fully into what it means to be community. Fill us with your blessings this and everyday. Amen
Enjoyed listening to you at Cedar Creek yesterday. Thank you for the gift of your shared prayers and your thoughtful, heartfelt words. I was raised Episcopal, moved to a Bible based church, then to Congregational. Just may have to try your church next. Thank you. You touched my heart. ❤️
