Prayer for April 18, 2022

As we continue our Eastertide, let us remember how you have prepared us all for the work to which you have called us, Loving God. Throughout the human story you have chosen ordinary, flawed people and had the confidence in them that they would do great things, historic things. You have responded to their fears of inadequacy or lack of confidence with the promise that you will give us the words, give us the strength, and empower us in such a way that we will become witnesses to the power of your Spirit filling us. May we recognize you, like the disciples did during the time before the Ascension, in the world around us and in the people we meet. May y we know the encouragement you give us all this and everyday. Amen
