Prayer for April 30, 2022

Give us the rest that a weekend can provide, O God who calls us to take Sabbath. May we actually take the time to recharge our batteries instead of driving ourselves into the ground. Allow us to release all the tensions that seem to build throughout the week. Let us instead celebrate the gift of attending to the people who are important in our lives. May we also value the community that you have provided us in its varied ways. Let church, clubs, leisure activities and others remind us of what is important to us and what gives us joy. All this we ask in the name of the God who wants our joy to be complete. Amen.
