Prayer for May 15, 2022

While we find ourselves in a time where hate seems to be thriving, help us to hear the message that you gave us, O God, as you prepared us for our time of ministry. We are in a time of war, literal and hidden. That war allows for hate to grow, may we respond to it with the love that surpasses all understanding. We are commanded to love one another as you loved us, thus marking us as followers of you. May that example be so apparent that hate does not have a chance. Help us to be present to those who are victims of the hate that is pervading society, whether it be how we welcome them among us or by the support we give them where they find themselves. May we be the hands of your ministry to them each and everyday. Amen
