Prayer for July 17, 2022

Creator God, we find ourselves in a time of extremes. We have divisions among ourselves that seem so vast that many wonder if we can ever come together again in ways to which you call us. We have increasingly strong storms and scary weather. We have droughts, monsoons, more violent weather than we have in lifetimes. Help us to prepare for the literal and figurative rough days ahead and become active in doing our part to limit storms damage and care for those affected by the inevitable challenges many will face. Give us the empathy and charity to give of ourselves in a sacrificial way to make this world better and safer. All this we ask in your Name O God. Amen
