Prayer for June 21, 2022

Throughout history O God, we have used your name and implied your support to laws, actions that go deeply against who you call us to be as people of God. Help us to stand up against misuse of your call to walk in Love as you loved us and speak out against hatred in all its many forms. Increasingly, people are acting as if divisiveness, anger, and injustice are somehow acceptable in your name Loving God and we need to stand strong in opposition to those who would claim that somehow God supports those actions. May we respond to hatred with love, division with a welcoming spirit, injustice with truth and honor. All this we ask in the name of the one who loved us so much he would die for us. Amen
