Prayer for August 5, 2022

May we seek to find common ground with one another this and everyday, Loving God. Help us to know that your desire for us to care for each other is far stronger than the desires of the evil one to divide us. May we know that we will not always see things the same way, and yet be able to work toward making the world a better place. Give us an awareness of opportunities to express your love and compassion to those who are without hope, ostracized and lonely. Let us be known for how we welcome the stranger in our midst today and always. Pour out your loving spirit upon us and guide us into a better reality. Amen
