Prayer for August 14, 2021

Help us, O God, to release those things that are weighing us down and set them at the altar so that we can run the race that you have set before us unencumbered. Help us to let go of the guilt we still feel even though you have forgiven us. Let us also set aside our hurt and anger over long held pain that hinders us from living as you would have us. May we be forgiving of ourselves and others as we travel the path that you have given us. Let us truly live in love and find our joy to be complete. All this we ask in the name of the God who creates, redeems and sanctifies. Amen.
