Prayer for August 24, 2022

Let us be fully aware of what it is to form young people, O God. The responsibility to encourage, excite, empower and educate them is something that begins with us knowing that we must be selfless in our love for them. Help us to know when to correct them, when to let them fall and when to pick them up. Give them inquisitive minds and joy in learning new things. May they feel the love we have for them each and everyday. Help us to set the appropriate boundaries for them to flourish and to know when they are to push beyond them to the next level of their formation. May we help them to grow in faith by our example of love, forgiveness and service to the world around us. All this we ask in the name of the God who called us to come as little children to know God. Amen.
