Help us to be the exception, O God. When society seems to focus on personal desires, may we be the ones who care about those in need. When the loudest voice in the room seems to carry the day, may we be the still small voice proclaiming love for our neighbor. When hate seems to be gaining ground among those around us may we stand up as a lone pillar of love. Give us strength during those lonely moments when we may feel like we are alone in wilderness proclaiming your love. Amen
