Prayer for November 15, 2022

Teaching God, help us to learn empathy and compassion for others. Manly of us are so blessed that we do not worry for our daily needs and often have luxuries that we take for granted. Help us to remember that while we have shelter, there are many who do not. While we eat our fill and more, there are countless who cannot find even clean water. While we live in safety, there are too many who are in some kind of slavery. We have ready access to medical care and so much of the world lives with diseases that are curable. May we work to use our many blessing to build up, feed, heal and support those who want for what we have so that they too may enjoy those blessings. May we never look down on another person and instead lift them up so that we can see each other eye to eye and as beloved children of God. Amen
