Prayer for January 23, 2023

There are so many who are dealing with illness right now, O God. We have had an uptick in Covid cases recently, and thankfully the virility of the virus is not what it was for those who have been given the vaccine. Help those who continue to work to make the vaccines that fight the many illnesses that have become so much a part of our lives to find ways to make the viruses less potent. Be with those who are also dealing with prolonged illness and are challenged each day to deal with the prognosis and treatment. May they feel your presence as the journey they are on is perilous and often filled with anxiety. Help those who are caregivers to all who are sick to find the support they need as they watch those for whom they care struggle. May your healing presence fill us now and always. Amen.
