Prayer for January 24, 2023

Thank you for the many incredible young people who have been a part of our lives, O God. We have been blessed throughout our lives to be with children who have been at one of the most transitional parts of their lives, (middle school and high school). As adults not far removed from the challenges they were facing we were called upon to be present for them. Now as we look back at decades of being adults who young people looked for for guidance, I know that they guided me as much as I did them. We learn together each and everyday about the current challenges and the age old ones. May all of us who have grown to adulthood find ways to be present for the next generation as they meet challenges that none of us are truly equipped to meet without a strong support network. May we do our part each and every day. Amen.
