Prayer for February 12, 2023

We are in a continuous battle with good and evil, O God of All. Having gained that knowledge we strain with the temptations that surround us each and every day. Help us when envy, hate, lust and all the other temptations enter our thoughts to release them from our minds. Throughout time you have called us to covenant with you to help us fight the battles that are before us. May we remember the many promises you have made to us that we have broken and seek to be transformed into people for whom the good of love dominates our thoughts and actions. Help us to be strong enough to say yes to those things that will lift people up, and no to those things that bring people down. Let love mark our lives now and always. Amen
