Prayer for February 26, 2023

Ever present God, we are reminded during this time of Lent that Jesus lived a life similar to ours. He dealt with the challenges we face by living a fully human life. May we know that when we are at our lowest, the times when we are most tempted to give up, that you are there, O God. Let us use his example when he was tested at the end of those 40 days to respond to temptation to take the path that leads to you. Help us to know that some of the hardest things we face now, will be those things that form us into who we are to become. Let us remember that we know the difference between good and evil, and may we choose the good. All this we ask in the name of the God who creates, redeems, and sanctifies. Amen
