Prayer for April 27, 2026

It has been a couple days since I have sat down to write a prayer, O God.  While I have prayed quite a bit those days as they have been busy challenging days and filled with opportunities to pray with and for others, I miss taking the time to ponder and write prayers. May I remember the value of thinking about the words I use, and the clarity that comes when I contemplate what I am going to say or do something.  In a world that regularly wants immediate actions and solutions, help me to remember that my desire to fix a problem or finish something may require more time and thought.  Let me have the awareness of when those times occur and remember that the answer can be not yet, or not now rather than finalizing something for the sake of convenience or expediency.  Guide me this and every day, O God and fill me with your Spirit.  Amen
