Prayer for May 5, 2026

As I enter into a retreat time, may I take advantage of the opportunity to listen, O God.  May my mind be cleared of distractions and simply be open to that small voice that I often miss in the hustle of daily life.  Let me enjoy the short time when I am not controlled by the little red dot on the apps on my phone.  Help me to find the discipline to limit those times when my focus is challenged by a world that tries to define my priorities by algorithms the truly affect my understanding of the world.  Let this retreat be a redirection for me toward the path you would have me follow.  It is in your Name I pray.  Amen
