Prayer for February 6, 2021

O Lord our God, we have so many challenges before us that sometimes it is hard for us to recognize that we have much for which to be grateful.  Each new day has the chance to be an incredible gift.  Help us to begin this day in anticipation of what great things might happen rather than be in fear of what bad might happen.  Let the many gifts you have given us be used to spread joy, and may we look with excitement to a future that is based on building upon each other’s successes.  Build in us the spirit of love and compassion that we might create communities of hope.  May we end this day as grateful as we began it.  All this we ask in your Name.  Amen.
