Prayer for February 13, 2021

Cleansing God, so much of our country is covered with rain and snow. Looking out the window and seeing the effects of the precipitation and what the sound of rain and solitude of snow falling gives us, may we use this time for introspection.  May we think about how we are living our lives and make changes where needed and refocus on what it truly important to us.  May you cleanse our hearts and minds of the anxiety and hatred that so often wants to grow in the world today and help us to once again restart the race you have set before us.  May we enjoy the smells and sights that come following snow and rain and treat this day and everyday like a new beginning. Allow us to seize the opportunity to become better people.  All this we ask in your name O God.  Amen
