Prayer for March 28, 2021

O God of all Creation, be with us this day as we celebrate Palm Sunday.  It is a day where we hear readings that take us through the end of all of Holy Week.  May we focus solely on what happens in Christ’s entry into Jerusalem. Let us understand what it meant for us to be excited about that moment so that we can also be honest with ourselves about what it means when we separate ourselves from God by our choices.  Let us look at all this week has to offer.  May we feel the strange loss that happens when we strip the altar and when we experience the cross.  Let us feel this week fully.  Help us to know that when we do, Easter is even more powerful.  All this we ask in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Amen.
