Prayer for April 13, 2021

Loving God, be with those who are raising children this day. Help them to feel your presence as they attempt to do what is best for their children. From those who are just beginning and have infants.  May they find sleep and help their children begin the patterns of life.  As they get older may the parents learn to set up safe boundaries as the children begin to try new things.  May the words “NO” and “Won’t” be short-lived as main words in their child’s vocabulary.  When they move into the teenage years, help the parents again set up safe places for them to test out their new found levels of responsibility and accountability.  Give these children the knowledge to know the difference between being able to do something and whether that is a the right thing to attempt.  Be with the parents as they watch them become adults.  All this we ask in your most Holy Name.  Amen
