Prayer for April 19, 2021

O Lord our God, as we begin the working part of this week, help us to be fully present to the tasks before us.  May we not be distracted by temptations that are stumbling blocks to the path that is set before us.  Allow us to recognize when we are the person that needs to act in situations that come along.  May we pay attention to those we spend time with in such a way that honors them and shows they are special to us.  Give us the patience to hear the complete story people tell us before we respond.  May we know when all they want for us to do is listen and not try to solve their problems.  May your presence be felt this day.  All this we ask in your Name. Amen.
