Prayer for May 5, 2021

May we celebrate each day you give us O God. This day, like so many days in history, is remembered mostly for one thing.  However, there are so many other incredible things that have happened on this day over the centuries.  May we learn that each day has the opportunity to be a seminal day, for us individually and for the world.  Help us to live this day loving and serving one another.  May we greet those we meet as a beloved child of God.  Give us the awareness to know when you are calling us to act.  May we see the path you have set before us and be ready when you call us to take an uncomfortable turn.  Allow us to feel your presence this day and everyday.  Amen.
