Prayer for May 29, 2021

O God who calls us to love one another as you have loved us, we thank you for giving us families.  We are grateful for the family we are born to, and the family we have chosen along the way.  You have put people in our lives who love us unconditionally when we need it most.  You have called some to become family when no one else is willing to stand in that place.  Than you for instilling in those people the call to serve and to treat what might seem outsiders as family.  For those who have come to the rescue of us in need who became a blessing to us, thank you.  May all of us recognize when we are the person called to welcome someone into our family and see their addition as a blessing.  All this we ask in your name. Amen
