Prayer for June 8, 2021

O God who has allowed some of us to be parents, help us to be comfortable admitting our shortcomings and ask for help when we need it. Let us show our children the power of accepting our mistakes and asking for forgiveness.  Give us the wherewithal to accept our mistakes and the ability to learn from them.  When we are on the other side and find ourselves in the position to forgive others for their mistakes let us see their contrition and acceptance of their mistakes as an opportunity to find common ground and hope for a better world.  Let us who are among the forgiven see that as the true opportunity for which it truly is for those willing to be willing to ask for help.  May we celebrate all that you have to offer us. Amen.
