Prayer for June 23, 2021

Ever present God, I am grateful for the ministry to which I have been called.  Today marks twenty years of ministry in the priesthood for me.  I could not have imagined all that that would give me.  I thank you, O God, for each day and person who you have allowed me to journey with during that time.  May I continue to be blessed by the opportunities you put before me.  Let me be aware of the gift you have given me to be present with people at their best and worst moments.  Help me to be all that you need me to be in those moments.  May I listen to you and respond as you would have me when I am called to minister to the needs of those around me.  Give me the strength and confidence when new opportunities to serve you present themselves.  All this I ask in your name, Lord Christ.  Amen
