Prayer for June 28, 2021

Help me be patient this day and everyday, O God.  There are so many times that society, or my own desires expect for things to happen quickly, or when I would like them. May I learn that not all things will happen when I want, and sometimes they won’t happen at all.  Let me be willing to enjoy the moment more than worry about what happens next.  If I am to plant seeds for something in the future, help me to see it as the work of the moment in hope of something later and not expect what I plant to burst from the ground figuratively and literally full grown.  Instead let me nurture what is around me so that it can grow to what it is meant when that time comes.  Give me the strength that hope in you brings O God.  Amen.
